• The Stark Youth Chess league located in Canton, Ohio is a nonprofit organization for all chess players kindergarten thru eighth grade.  No membership fee required to join in the fun.

  • We offer year round opportunities to play open chess, test your abilities, improve your skills or just have fun at our local library and city park.

  • For local schools' chess players, we provide monthly league matches at participating k-8th grade schools starting in November and ending the last Saturday in February at Final Mate.    

  • We also have Chess in the Park starting the first Wednesday in June and end the last Wednesday in August. 

  • Enjoy a summer family picnic in June and Harvest for Hunger Chess Tournament the third Sunday in August.  Both are family events held in Canton's Stadium Park.

  • In October, a "National Day of Chess" Tournament is held on the second Saturday at the Stark County District Library's main building in downtown Canton, Ohio.
