Chess in the Park
Chess in the Park new location will be at Centennial Park downtown Canton. Playing time begins at 5:00 pm and continues until dark every Wednesday starting the first Wednesday in June. We meet each week until last Wednesday in August. Then we head back to the Stark County District Library for our Monday's Chess from 5:00 to 7:45 pm.
All ages and playing levels are welcomed to join in the fun. Just a beginner? We have advanced players that also teach our novice students of any age. Need a little challenge? Team up with one of our advanced students or instructors. There is no cost to play. Boards and pieces are provided by the Stark Youth Chess League. Parental guidance required for children under 16.
