National Day of Chess
National Day of Chess will be held on Saturday,October 12th, 2019 at the Stark County District Library, Main building ,in downtown Canton, Ohio. The address is 715 Market Ave. N Canton, OH 44702.
This is a fun event to support chess in our community, make new friends and test your skills while preparing for this years tournament action. There will also be a giant chess set to use between matches.
This event is 5 rounds Swiss pairings. There are 3 sections Novice-grades K-4, grades 5-8 and 9th thru adults. Trophies to top 3 in each section in each section. Games will be timed if necessary. (30 minutes, 15 minutes each, bring clocks)
Sign in before the library opens in the lobby 8:15 to 8:45 a.m. play starts around 9:00 a.m.
